What is Sage 50 Accounts and how is it different to Sage 50cloud?

Sage 50 Accounts manages your business finances, financial transactions, bookkeeping and compliance and is accounting software designed for small to medium-sized businesses.  Sage 50 Accounts helps businesses manage sales invoicing, customers, suppliers, cash flow, bank reconciliation, inventory management, purchase orders and quotes, the software also enables you to submit tax returns online.

Sage 50 Accounts is the latest version of the Sage 50 product family, previous versions of Sage 50 were known and branded as Sage 50c and Sage 50cloud, where the letter “c” and the word “cloud” referred to its cloud connected functionality.

All the features found in Sage 50cloud were incorporated into the latest version of Sage 50 Accounts, prior to the launch of Sage 50 Accounts the main difference was that Sage 50cloud allowed you to upload a copy of your data to the cloud so that users can collaborate and work remotely using Remote Data Access.

What is Sage 50cloud?

Sage 50cloud is the previous name of Sage 50 before it was rebranded by Sage as Sage 50 Accounts. Despite the name, Sage 50cloud is primarily a desktop-based application as well, but it offers cloud integration features. This means it allows for some data syncing and cloud-based collaboration but still needs to be installed locally.
